Argentina's Atlantic Coast is one of the favorite vacation destinations for many local Argentineans as well as for the international tourists.
Argentina is second in size, after Brazil, in South America and eight in the world. The population in 2008 is 40.7 million (estimate) and the biggest town is the capital, Buenos Aires , which, with a population of 12.4 million in Greater Buenos Aires, makes it one of the largest cities in the world. The capital of Argentina is an extremely sophisticated city. To the tourists, the city seems and feels to be like in Europe. Buenos Aires is a city of multiple contrasts, presenting a conglomeration of exotic food, wine and architectural styles. The Colon Theater is one of the best opera houses in the world, also visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, the chief catholic church in Buenos Aires.
To the north of Buenos Aires, you can visit Iguacu Falls, which is one of the best natural wanders in the world. The waterfall comprises of about 270 falls along 2.7 kilometers.

If you would like to do some summer skiing and snowboarding, Argentina has a wide range of ski resorts to suit all abilities. Las Lenas, Bariloche and Chapelco Ski Resort, to name a few. The season for skiing in Argentina is June to October, with high season in July and August.
